We had Lee come and prepare Hell Chicken for a team gathering and it was incredibly delicious. And in addition, the dynamic way the food is prepared up-leveled the experience for all of us. It felt a lot more special than a typical farm-to-table meal. The ingredients, preparation, and presentation were thoughtfully crafted in a way that felt truly special.

Lee is consistently one of our favorite chefs to partner with for events with both Shelter Co & River Electric. Most importantly, the food is always executed to perfection, (we all still dream of his fire grilled oysters from an event at the Wildflower Auberge in Upstate NY) but almost as critical are the complete sense of calm and intentionality he brings to any event, large or small. A Hell Chicken meal is truly greater than the sum of its parts.

We have been lucky enough to work with Lee on several of our winery dinner events. What makes Lee’s Hell Chicken nights so meaningful to us is the way he turns dinner into a shared moment. The setup becomes the heart of the evening, with everyone gathering around to watch the chicken and vegetables over open flame. It feels intimate and communal and by the time everyone sits down to eat, there’s already warmth and connection in the room from the experience. This next-level chicken is always perfectly cooked, juicy and packed with flavor! And the rice with the rich chicken drippings is what dreams are made of! Thank you Lee for creating such memorable dinner experiences and reminding us why we love gathering people together in the first place! Can’t wait for the next one!

Lee cooked up a Hell Chicken bonanza for a post-opening dinner in L.A. and it was exactly what we needed. He set up a fire on the side of a shady canyon and we ate Hell Chicken into the early hours.

When Lee was doing Hell Chicken at Achilles Heel, we used to set our calendars by his schedule. Just the other day, a fellow fan said, "You know the one dish I've been thinking about for the last decade? Lee's crispy schmaltz rice from Hell Chicken." I couldn't agree more!
